Are you looking for a meaningful way to earn volunteer hours while building friendships across the world?
Join Educate2Empower’s Pen Pal Program, where U.S. student volunteers are matched with underprivileged girls in Kenya, India and other regions supported by E2E. Through virtual letters, and optional virtual meetups, you'll help empower girls with English language practice, global exposure, and the joy of connection — all while growing your own empathy, communication skills, and cultural awareness.
Note: Must be 12-17
What you'll do:
Be matched with a girl (your “pen pal”) based on age and shared interests
Exchange 1–4 letters or messages per month (by submitting a picture of a handwritten letter)
Share stories about your daily life, school, dreams, holidays, and more
Submit completed letters to log verifiable volunteer hours
Time commitment is up to you! You can decide how many times you exchange messages.
Impact you'll make:
Help underprivileged girls build confidence and English skills
Give them a platform to share their voice, life, and dreams
Gain a deeper understanding of life in different cultures and communities
Be a friend, role model, and global citizen
